Before

This is the second project that I had worked on with these clients. This project was slightly unusual as initially the project was to be staged so that they could move in and complete the works while they lived there. However as the scope of the brief expanded it became evident that they would not be moving in until it was all completed.

The bones of the house and the basic planning were good. The planning needed only minor modifications to significantly improve the flow. The finishes were tired each room had different floor finishes. The design involved relocating the entry to make it more dramatic and demolishing some of the walls to the informal area so that the northern light at the front of the house would filter to the whole area and maintain the wonderful outlook onto the golf course.

The undercroft area was developed so that there was an garage with internal access and a cabana area that looked onto the pool for supervision with the young children.

All the finishes were changed and bathrooms remodeled. The scope also included designing all the joinery including a kosher kitchen and storage areas and the formal living areas integrating the home theatre.
