This Bellevue Hill project, currently under construction, began as a garage and lift and has expanded into an upgrade of all external areas. Designed to enable the clients to age into their house, the works encompass a new double wide garage with a lift located under the corner of the existing house.
Complex site conditions – layers of previous renovations, loose sandy soil, complicated structural considerations and keeping the swimming pool that sits above the existing garage – have meant the utmost consideration has been taken during construction.
The house sits in an unusual trapezoidal site where the outdoor areas were poorly connected to the interiors, and the renovation improves the relationship to and between the outdoor spaces.
We are working with a great team of builders (OneUp Building) and structural engineers (Partridge) to help navigate the complexity of getting out of ground. New landscaping with the assistance of Nelson Thomas Landscaping has significantly enhanced the living experience of the site.
