Bronte House
The clients had purchased a poorly renovated house. Although the back was orientated to the north, none of the rooms had much natural light and no spaces were enjoyable to be in.
The brief was to capture as much north light as possible – especially in the living space – and to have a better relationship to al fresco entertaining and the backyard.
Big bi-fold windows from the dining and sliding doors on two corners of the outdoor covered eating area were added. Highlight glazing over the kitchen and living spaces maximised cross ventilation and captured north light throughout the year.
The outdoor spaces, including the swimming pool and cabana, have a strong relationship with the interior and Loggia spaces.
